So… Amanda’ K’s baby boy is sooo cute! Papa Chris is doing much of the interior renovation of the Lodge, which should be in great shape for Camp on August.

If you haven’t heard it elsewhere, you heard it here first – Ted Kessler is now the full-time Camp TKT director! Ted has relinquished his Board position so he could devote even more time to making our dream – and his vision – come true in South Hero. Almost all of the day-to-day developments happening in South Hero are directly due to Ted’s hard work, time and expertise. You knew he was amazing, but what he is doing for Camp every day of the week is truly extraordinary.

Speaking of truly extraordinary… Wade, Patrick and Dennis continue spending humongous hours navigating the financial, legal, political and social pitfalls of turning our property in South Hero into Camp Ta-Kum-Ta. They continue to lovingly invest their cumulative knowledge and expertise in many, many long hours so our new Camp will have a sound foundation and a thriving future.

And while we are spilling the beans here, Dennis was unanimously elected by the Board to be our chairperson. Dennis’ leadership skills and professional background – not to mention his love for and devotion to Camp – make him an ideal leader for us all as we navigate this new and challenging chapter of Camp history.

Did I mention Jon Brooks? Thanks to Jon you are reading these words on our fantastic new TKT website!

As always, Kathy is ALWAYS working tirelessly behind-the-scenes to make sure all those i’s are dotted and the t’s are crossed so everything good happens that is supposed to happen! Not to mention getting us the best Camp clothes on this planet! I happen to know that if Kathy wasn’t doing her usual great job of planning and organizing, we would be in a heap of big trouble…

Monica – keeper of the campers – God bless her! Who would nominate Wade for all those Board assignments if not she??

FLASH! The Board is soon to welcome Dina (Dattilio) as our newest member! Rumor is she is after Dennis’ job… I can just see it now – Da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da… BATGIRL!

And all you Camp 2009 staff – get packin’. Diane C says only 33 days to SDW. More SDW news as it becomes available, but we are currently working on providing cots for everyone’s pleasurable tenting experience. (That would be thanks to June and Mike Heston!)

All for now. Once you get me going, it’s hard to shut me up. Unfortunately!

Love,

Jim.
